Summer portfolio updates
Twelve years ago last week (June 9, 2014), Richard Reed Parry of Arcade Fire released his album of music for string quartet called Music for Heart and Breath.
Shoutout to my cousin Nick Lloyd! He worked on this album, as a mixer. If you’re ever in the New Haven, CT area check out Firehouse 12. It’s his recording studio, bar, and venue built inside of an old firehouse set up as part of an adaptive reuse project in collaboration with the city.

Willetta asleep among the ruins
Recent updates to my own mastering portfolio include the recent Willetta EP asleep among the ruins. What a dreamy delight!
I mastered this album, working from some great recordings made by Josh Medina. I first started working with Willetta almost ten years ago, and it’s been so cool to hear their sound develop over the years. With some new band members on roster, the synth-y dreams have been turned way up on this one.
Lxs Cochinxs Cumbia Cochina
Another mastering portfolio update, this one from the DIY cumbia outfit Lxs Cochinxs out of LA. This was the bands very first vinyl pressing, and I had a great time helping out-it's a limited edition so you'll want to snap one up! The album's called Cumbia Cochina.
This one's a really interesting mix of cumbia in a newer style that throws electronic elements into the traditional cumbia rhythm section.
Other projects of note
Finally, I’m pleased to highlight another project just beginning from my documentary filmmaker friend Nita Bloom called Be Charlie. It’s a story about Charlie, one of the oldest athletes living—a 104-year-old archer (turning 105!), currently pursuing a new world record out here in Arizona. Learn more and support the project.
